Job advertising rules
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These rules apply to every job ad on Murray Bridge Business Directory. You must agree to them before you post. They sit alongside our Terms of Use.
1. What this site is
This is a classifieds noticeboard. Claimed local businesses can advertise their own vacancies. People who apply do so directly to that business by email or an external application page.
Murray Bridge Business Directory / Babayagas Web Design:
- is not the employer
- does not hire, place, or supply workers
- is not a labour-hire provider under South Australian labour-hire licensing law
- is not a recruitment agency and does not introduce candidates for a placement fee
- does not collect or store CVs on this version of the site
Any employment relationship is between the applicant and the business named on the ad.
2. Who may post
- Only the verified owner of a claimed, live listing may post jobs for that business.
- Your email address must be verified before you post.
- You must be authorised to recruit for that business.
- Jobs must be genuine vacancies for work in or around Murray Bridge and the Murraylands, or for that local business.
3. Pay and Fair Work
Job ads must not advertise pay that breaches the Fair Work Act 2009 or an applicable modern award or enterprise agreement. From 1 July 2026 the National Minimum Wage is $26.44 per hour (or the relevant award rate if higher).
- State the pay, a pay range, or that award rates apply.
- Do not advertise unpaid “trial” work that is actually a job, or rates below the legal minimum.
- You are responsible for classifying the role and paying correctly. We do not give employment-law advice.
4. Discrimination
Ads must comply with the Sex Discrimination Act, Age Discrimination Act, Disability Discrimination Act, Racial Discrimination Act, and the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA). Do not write ads that exclude people because of sex, age, race, disability, or other protected attributes, unless a genuine occupational requirement applies and is lawful.
Examples we will remove: “young female wanted”, “no disabilities”, “Australians only” for a role that does not have a lawful work-rights requirement stated as a genuine requirement of the job.
5. Content we will remove
- False, misleading, or bait ads
- Illegal work, pyramid schemes, or unpaid labour dressed up as a job
- Requests for TFNs, bank details, copies of passports, or WWCC documents through this website
- Ads that ask applicants to pay to apply
- Spam, duplicate ads, or jobs that are not yours
We may edit or take down any ad without notice. Repeat breaches can lead to account suspension.
6. Applications
Applicants apply by emailing you or using the external URL you provide. We do not read, host, or forward CVs. You must handle applications in line with the Privacy Act 1988 if you collect personal information from applicants.
7. Your warranties
By posting a job you warrant that the ad is accurate, the vacancy is genuine, you are authorised to advertise it, the pay is lawful, and the ad does not unlawfully discriminate. You indemnify us against claims arising from the ad or from how you handle applications.
8. Contact
