Welcome to Murray Bridge Business Directory (murraybridge.directory), operated by Babayagas Web Design, located in Murray Bridge, SA 5253, Australia. By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About the Service

Murray Bridge Business Directory is an online directory of businesses in and around Murray Bridge, South Australia. Claimed businesses may also post job ads for their own vacancies. We offer free listings and an optional Boost subscription. Our listing options include:

  • Free listings: Name, phone, address, map, hours, and website, displayed at no cost.
  • Boost listings: Extra visibility (photos, description, priority placement, and a Boost badge), billed monthly. We describe Boost as $5 a week; you are billed $20 per month, not weekly.

2. Accounts

To manage a business listing or subscribe to a paid tier, you need to create an account. When you do:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

3. Business Listings

Adding a listing

Business listings may be added to the directory by us or by business owners/authorised representatives. If you add a listing, you confirm that:

  • The business information you provide is accurate and up to date
  • You are authorised to list that business
  • The listing does not contain misleading or deceptive content

Claiming a listing

If your business is already listed, you can claim it to take control of the listing. The claiming process involves verifying that you are the owner or an authorised representative of the business. We may ask for verification such as:

  • Confirmation via a phone number or email address associated with the business
  • Proof of business ownership or authority to act on behalf of the business

We reserve the right to approve or reject any claim at our discretion.

Listing content standards

All business listings must comply with the following rules. Listings must not:

  • Contain false, misleading, or deceptive information
  • Promote illegal activities or services
  • Include offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory content
  • Infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Contain spam, excessive keywords, or irrelevant content
  • Include malicious links or code

We reserve the right to edit or remove any listing that breaches these standards, without prior notice.

4. Job advertisements

Job ads are a classifieds feature. We host the ad. We are not the employer, we do not hire or place staff, and we are not a labour-hire provider or recruitment agency. The business named on the ad is the advertiser and (if they hire) the employer.

  • Only claimed, live listings with a verified account email may post jobs
  • Job ads cost $10 for 28 days. A Boost listing includes one live job; extra jobs are $5 for Boost listings and $10 otherwise
  • Applicants apply by email or an external URL you provide. We do not store CVs
  • You must follow our Job advertising rules, including lawful pay and anti-discrimination law
  • You warrant the vacancy is genuine and you are authorised to advertise it
  • We may take down any job ad without notice

Every job page states that we are not the employer. Nothing on this site is employment, industrial-relations, or immigration advice.

5. Paid subscriptions and job ads

Boost listings are available as monthly subscriptions. Job ads are one-off payments unless included with Boost. By paying:

  • You agree to pay the applicable fee shown at checkout
  • Boost subscriptions automatically renew each month unless you cancel
  • Boost is billed monthly ($20), even when we describe it as $5 a week
  • Paid job ads run for 28 days from the day payment is confirmed
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice
  • You can cancel Boost at any time through your account portal

6. Acceptable Use

When using this website, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, other accounts, or our systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site without our written permission
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate another person or business
  • Use automated tools to create accounts or submit content
  • Attempt to manipulate search results or listing rankings

7. Intellectual Property

The website design, code, logos, branding, and original content on Murray Bridge Business Directory are owned by Babayagas Web Design and are protected by Australian copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Business owners retain ownership of the content they submit for their listings (such as descriptions, logos, and images). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the directory for as long as the listing is active.

8. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep business listings accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information. Business details are provided by third parties and business owners, and we are not responsible for errors or outdated information.

If you find incorrect information in a listing, please contact us so we can investigate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • We provide this website and its services on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the site
  • We are not liable for any loss resulting from reliance on information in business listings
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or our services is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach these Terms of Use
  • Your listing content violates our content standards
  • We reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently
  • You fail to pay subscription fees that are due

If we terminate your account for a breach of these terms, you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees already paid, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

11. Disputes

If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute, it will be governed by the laws of South Australia, and both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

13. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining parts will continue to apply in full.
