Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions (Featured and Premium listing tiers) on Murray Bridge Business Directory (murraybridge.directory), operated by Babayagas Web Design, Murray Bridge, SA 5253, Australia.
1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy limits or overrides your rights under the ACL. If our service has a major failure, you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time.
A major failure includes situations where:
- The service is substantially unfit for its intended purpose and cannot easily be fixed
- The service does not meet a specific purpose you told us about before purchasing, and cannot easily be fixed
- The service creates an unsafe situation
2. Subscription Billing
Featured and Premium listings are billed as monthly subscriptions. Key details:
- Subscriptions are charged at the start of each billing cycle
- Your billing cycle starts on the day you subscribe and renews on the same date each month
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here is how it works:
- How to cancel: Log in to your account and cancel through your account portal, or contact us at hello@murraybridge.directory
- When it takes effect: Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to your paid listing features until that date.
- No penalty: There are no cancellation fees or penalties for cancelling your subscription.
- Listing after cancellation: When your paid subscription ends, your listing will revert to a free listing. Your basic business information will remain in the directory.
4. Refunds
Within the first 14 days
If you are not satisfied with your paid listing within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, you can request a full refund. This 14-day period applies to your first subscription payment only, not to subsequent renewal payments.
Pro-rata refunds
If we make significant changes to the features included in your listing tier, or if there is a service outage that materially affects your listing for an extended period, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund for the affected portion of your billing cycle. Contact us to discuss your situation.
Renewals
We do not generally offer refunds on renewal payments, as you have the ability to cancel before the renewal date. If you forgot to cancel and were charged for a renewal, contact us within 7 days and we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis.
When refunds are not available
Refunds are generally not available in the following situations:
- Your account was terminated for breaching our Terms of Use
- Your listing was removed because it contained false, misleading, or prohibited content
- You have already used the 14-day satisfaction guarantee on a previous subscription
- More than 14 days have passed since your initial subscription payment (unless covered by another section of this policy or the ACL)
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with the following details:
- Your name and email address associated with your account
- The business listing the subscription relates to
- The reason for your refund request
- The date of the payment you would like refunded

6. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.
7. Price Changes
If we increase the price of a listing tier, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the next billing cycle and you will not be charged the higher amount.
8. Free Listings
Free listings are provided at no cost and are not subject to this Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify or remove free listings at any time.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes will not apply retroactively to refund requests already submitted.
